Flag Game

Do you even know how many countries there currently are (07/26/2012) all over the world? No? There are not 100 not 150, but no fewer than 205 countries. If we do not keep all the political and legal framework in mind, then this number is correct. If you are one of the few people who knew that number already, then you get the chance to guess the respective national flags of all those countries in Flag Game. Flag Game will take you to your limits, and will show you flags that you have never even seen before. In this quiz, there of course is a target that you have to meet. So it has to be your goal to be able to assign at least 50 out of 258 flags to the right country. With this total number of flags, all countries of the Commonwealth have been listed individually to make your task even more difficult. You will notice throughout the course of Flag Game that some of the flags look very similar. So you have to consider each flag very carefully and take every small detail into account in your subsequent tip. The detailed graphics of this browser game act as a valuable support in this matter. You have just 10 seconds to select the right flag for every question. Given the short amount of time, you make all of your selections with your mouse only on the surface of the game. By clicking “log”, you are putting your selection down. After you have guessed all the flags (hopefully correctly), an evaluation will be displayed to you at the end of the game. Here, correct and incorrect matches are always listed separately. In addition, you will be shown whether you guessed correctly by a score next to the timer at the bottom of the game.

The history of national flags is long and entertaining. For example, the Danish flag, known as "Dannebrog", is attached to a legend as one of the oldest flags of the world: On June 15th, 1219, the battle against Lyndanisse of Estonians under the leadership of King Waldemar II took place. When the defeat of the king in the battle against the heathens was almost certain, a flag fell from the sky, which is said to have destroyed the Estonians. Historians assume that the true origin of the Danish flag is to be found with the Vikings. As of right now, there is no evidence for either of these theories.
